Teva Pharmaceutical is one of the top 20 Global pharmaceutical companies in the world, developing and marketing branded pharmaceuticals & active ingredients. Their specific challenge they were facing revolved around three large storage facilities in separate cities all containing with perishable pharmaceuticals. The temperature at these facilities had to be measured wirelessly due to the large area to be monitored; however, external RF interference threatened data loss.
Their requirements stipulated an online multiple point monitoring and alert system which meant a multi-unit system that could send automatic SMS, email and audio alarms when temperature thresholds were crossed anywhere in the network. To avoid costly infrastructure the system had to be wireless, nevertheless able to overcome interference and provide reliable RF transmission.
The DataNet was the chosen solution because it is a bi-directional intelligent data logging system. Furthermore, the system overcomes RF interference and ensures reliable data monitoring by recovering any data losses.
